Lend & Learn is hosting free and fun outdoor events for children ages 0-5 and their families this spring! Your child will be able to participate in fun learning activities, play with other children, eat yummy snacks, and take home activities. Love Your Neighbor: Connecting Young Children to the Community
How can you connect your child to diverse people in your neighborhood, community, and the world? Join us for a conversation about why and how to get your family involved in volunteering, acts of kindness, charitable giving, and teaching your baby to be a helper and changemaker. This event is free & open to all parents & caregivers . Participants will receive a children’s book, resources, and a chance to win a $20 Walmart gift card!

Play time at Lend & Learn
Schedule a play time with your little ones ages 0-5 at Lend & Learn (1002 Fay St, Columbia). New sign up times are added weekly for Tuesdays & Wednesdays 9am-11am, and Thursdays 1-3pm.
Now that the weather is warming up, we should mention that Lend & Learn also has an outdoor fenced-in playground area behind our building that is open to families – no appointment necessary!
New! Play Groups
We are offering three different age-based play groups in March as a way for you to meet other families with a child close in age to your little one. We will have activities, snacks, and resources for your child. Space is limited – save your spot!

Expanded Hours for Lend & Learn Toy Library Checkout
Toy checkout hours are now expanded to Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Baby & toddler toys are available for families to borrow and play at home! You may shop in the L&L toy closet for individual items or view our catalog of toy sets online:
Play-At-Home Kits
First Chance is now offering eligible families free Developmental ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire) Screening Kits for children ages 0-5 years. Learn more about the ASQ kits and the qualifications to receive a kit.
El Último Malvavisco Kit
Matemáticas de malvavisco! Tenemos un nuevo kit de actividades para jugar en casa para presentar a tus pequeños las primeras habilidades matemáticas. El kit incluye el libro El Último Malvavisco, instrucciones de la actividad y hojas de conteo laminadas (en inglés o en español), un paquete de chocolate caliente, malvaviscos, marcador de pizarra, pompones, papel de construcción de gran tamaño y cereales. Este kit es ideal para niños de 2 a 5 años. Puedes recoger un kit para tu hijo en Lend & Learn (1002 Fay St, Columbia) de lunes a viernes de 9 a.m. a 3 p.m.
Marshmallow math! We have a new play-at-home activity kit to introduce your littles to early math skills. The kit includes The Last Marshmallow/ El Último Malvavisco book, activity instructions & laminated counting sheets (English or Spanish), hot cocoa packet, marshmallows, dry erase marker, pom poms, oversized construction paper, and cereal.This kit is great for children ages 2-5. You can pick up a kit for your child at Lend & Learn (1002 Fay St, Columbia) on weekdays 9am-3pm.
